Crafting a Collective Vision

On November 4, 2005, the NCAI Policy Research Center hosted one of the largest interactive policy discussions in the history of Indian Country. Held in conjunction with NCAI’s Annual Session, this discussion engaged some 300 participants in small group conversations to create a collective vision for the future of tribal communities. The conversations focused on three questions:

1. In thirty years, what do we want our tribal communities to look like?
2. What authorities, flexibility, and resources will our tribal governments need to create the future we want for our communities?
3. What actions and conversations are most critical in moving toward this vision?

The materials from the session are below. Please use the relevant links to access the: agenda, instructions, presentation, and themes from the questions.
